Nowadays one of the population's top priorities is living a healthy and better lifestyle and thus spas have grown in popularity. This has led to a significant increase in the opening of hotel and resort spas. However, little is known about the performance of hotel spa establishments especially in Greece. The purpose of this thesis is to shed light on the spa hotel sector. Spa hotels in Greece compared with Hotels in Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and America according their facilities and the services that they offer. Hotel spa amenities body and facial treatments, beauty services, body and soul harmonization, sport facilities and the kinds of massages are evaluated. Greek spa hotels offer a wide variety of treatments and massages; however they lag behind other counties.
