This dissertation was written as part of the MSc in Management at the International Hellenic University. Job stress is one of the essential parameters that influence the productivity of the workforce. This study was carried out to investigate the job stress, job satisfaction, and workforce productivity, to examine the occupational stress and how it interacts with employees’ productivity and how it can be managed. Through the research it is revealed that the biggest part of the sample has a medium level of work stress. More specifically, the sample is consisted of 130 employees in total, most of them being females from 26 to 35 years old. The above research focused on investigating the occupational stress management of employees in Greece. Furthermore, more often the participants manage their work stress by using humor to deflect it, drinking coffee and other beverages and eating food or snacks. Lastly, the participants more often talk to their friends, family and co-workers to manage their stress and less often they talk to the managers and a psychologist. However, less often they and take proper medication or drink alcohol to manage their work stress. In addition, participants with low levels of work stress were more likely to smoke to cope with work-related stress. In addition, the higher the level of stress at work, the more often participants manage their stress using relaxation techniques and medication, but the less often they quit work or take a break and have fun with friends to relieve and cope with stress.
