The research aims to document and analyze the profound impacts these initiatives had on the entrepreneurial ecosystem, highlighting the creative solutions that surfaced to promote entrepreneurship and innovation amidst unprecedented challenges. A significant part of the study is dedicated to understanding how these platforms and competitions facilitated economic recovery and social cohesion, particularly through fostering collaborative networks and leveraging new technologies. The dissertation presents detailed case studies of organized and completed hackathon projects in Greece, offering insights into their goals, organization, outcomes, and overall effectiveness.
