Finite element solution of planar waveguides with embedded networks

Abstract

Planar microwave structures which combine electromagnetic fields and network parameter descriptions are analysed using the finite element (FE) method. The predicted performance of a nonsymmetrical three-port power divider with an embedded impedance network is presented and compares well with measured data.
